The process involves sending over a copy of the “title clearance” (we receive this from the U.S. dealership after we have purchased the car on your behalf from YouPaidWhat.ca) to the American customs agency, this process usually takes 72hrs before the vehicle in question can cross the border into Canada. U.S. customs must approve the title clearance and inspect the vehicle. When this process is finished and approved by the U.S. custom agency, only then is it allowed to be shipped to Canada to be inspected first by the Canadian custom agency.

 

The Canadian custom agency will inspect the vehicle and all paper work (The title clearance) and when this is approved only then the vehicle can enter into Canada and be shipped to YouPaidWhat.ca’s facility. When all this is done YouPaidWhat.ca then receives a form 2, this is paper work from the “Registrar of Imported Vehicles” they lets us know that the vehicle has passed a “no open recalls “inspection, making the vehicle safe.
